The RNDA
An easy to use assessment tool that enables non-specialists to assess and prioritise neurodevelopmental concerns for children of all ages, in just 30 minutes.
Our mission is to transform neurological assessment, with a more accessible tool that reduces lengthy specialist wait times by more accurately identifying those who need to see a specialist and providing guidance to those who do not. A new era begins now, introducing The RNDA.

One Tool For All:
Teachers, Nurses, Health Workers, GPs, Early Childhood Educators, Guidance Officers, Youth Justice Workers,

Origins & Purpose
The Rapid Neurodevelopmental Assessment was developed by the Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation (BPF). It was designed to be delivered by a non-specialist workforce and to target disadvantaged children from hard-to-reach populations.
We partner with the Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation to support the ongoing development of the RNDA. We are developing The RNDA to simplify early identification of Australia children and youth who are developmentally not-on-track.
Our collaboration, known as RNDA Australia:
- Is reviewing all RNDA items and revise those requiring
adaptation to the Australian context. - Co-designing items and toolkits for use in Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander communities. - Developed a digital version of the RNDA Australia, easing
administration and scoring of the RNDA and better supporting its
inclusion in routine primary healthcare assessments.
One for all …
The RNDA is designed for non-specialists and specialists alike …
Teachers, Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs, Early Childhood Educators, Guidance Officers, Youth Justice Workers, Child Protection Workers, Allied Health Professionals like Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and more..
– in fact, anyone working with children could use this tool.
